| Project Description: | Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (METRO) has established a contracting opportunity to provide tunnel cleaning service for the Metro Red and Purple Line, which includes approximately 18 miles each way of dual underground tunnels. The dual tunnels represent approximately 36 miles of 20 feet in diameter concrete tubes with walkways between stations and cross passages between tunnels. The tunnels include fistures such as track, drainage, fire suppression, mile markers, cross-passage signage, lighting, and linear utilities conduit and piping. Contractor shall wash tunnel, catwalk and track-way with high-pressurized water between 2500 and 3000psi to remove debris and particulates. Trash removal shall include but is not limited to the removal of all debris, paper, refuse, hazardous materials, bio-waste including sharps, and rubbish. If work crews encounter unexpected hazardous materials, contractor shall notify Metro PM or designated Metro escort immediately for direction. |
