Project Description: The work of this 135 calendar day project consists generally of abating and removing the existing roof, including all asbestos; removing and replacing gutters, downspouts, fascia, soffits, vent jacks, a fan curb; repairing or replacing damaged roof framing members, sheathing, and fascia as required; removing and covering existing skylights, including adding new roof framing and sheathing; removing and reinstalling a condensate line and an air conditioning supply line; removing and relocating electrical conduit, conduit chairs, and boxes, a roof turbine, and an antenna; and furnishing and installing single-ply roofing, splash blocks, walkpads.

This project is included in the Port’s Small Business Enterprise Program. Only bids from eligible, Port-certified Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) will be accepted. If one or more eligible, certified SBEs submits a bid acceptable to the Port, it is the Port’s intention to award the Contract subject to the provisions of the SBE Program.

However, if no qualified bids are received from eligible, certified SBEs, the project will be re-advertised, and new bids will be solicited. In that case, bidding will not be limited to Small Business Enterprises.
