Q: The bid item description for excavation & fill indicate removal of CMU wall footing and then backfilling. The details state: "Remove exist. block wall at base, do not remove foundation, cut all rebars to flush with top of foundation." & " Install 2" x 10" header mudsill. Connect to face of ext. footing with 3/8" lag bolts staggered at 36" O.C. or alternate method." Will you please clarify? 08/21/12

Q: Question 1: On the Bid Proposal pages under Measurement and Payment of Bid Items Section 1.4 reads: "Six-Foot Chain Link Fence BID ITEM NO.4 Furnish and Install Temporary Six-Foot Security Fence BID ITEM NO.9." This does not correspond to the bid schedule provided. Will you please clarify? Question 2: The demolition of the existing CMU wall & footing is included in the unclassified excavation. Is the demolition & removal of the existing fence included in this item as well? 08/20/12
