Q: If the contractor elects to directionally bore and install the water service, how will city pay for it? Bid items only refer to open trench installation. 07/07/22 4:34:26 PM A: The City accepts to directional boring downstream of the backflow preventer. The City will prepare an addendum and a bid alternative to allow for directional boring downstream of the backflow preventer if the contractor elects to directionally bore. Q: To get a water meter, sometimes there is a water meter fee of a few thousand dollars. Is there a fee for the ¾” water meter?
