The project is funded, in part, by a Department of Defense Grant. As such, a Buy American Clause is included with this work. In general, work consists of the demolition of two existing wood-framed buildings and appurtenances, asphalt, chain-link fencing and concrete as well as the removal of landscape items. There will be a Hazardous Material mitigation component as noted in the attached Haz-Mat Reports. Construction will consist of a wood and/or steel framed two-story building, parking canopies, solar panels, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and communications systems, a fiber optic system that connects to City Hall across the street, off-site improvements as noted on the plans, stormwater compliance, landscaping, and fire apparatus bays. Electric Vehicle Charging shall also be included for Fire Apparatus as well as passenger vehicles as noted on the plans.
